Reiki courses

The journey into Reiki, as shared in the tradition of Mikao Usui, begins with Reiju. In Japanese, Reiju means “blessing.” It is not an “opening of a channel” nor the granting of any special power from the outside, but a spiritual practice that helps us remember that we are already part of the universal life energy.

You may have also heard terms such as Reiki attunement. In truth, they refer to the same essence, though taught in different ways. That’s why, before inviting Reiki into your life, it’s worth checking whether what a Reiki teacher shares truly resonates with you. Under names like Reiki, attunement, or Reiki courses, there can be many different approaches — and that’s perfectly fine. What matters is to consciously choose the person with whom you’ll begin this journey.

Reiju supports our return to what is natural. It is not a one-time event, but a part of the path that can be experienced again and again, deepening our sense of stillness, presence, and connection with Reiki.

three levels of study

In the Reiki system, there are three levels of study:

Level 1 – Shoden | Level 2 – Okuden | Level 3 – Shinpiden.

At each stage, the practice deepens through Reiju — a blessing that supports the body and mind in cleansing and harmonizing, allowing us to more clearly sense our true nature and connection with the universal life energy.

From the moment you receive your first Reiju, you can begin to practice Reiki. Each time you return to this practice, your awareness and experience of the energy grow deeper. Through regular self-healing and meditation, life gradually transforms — becoming simpler, more harmonious, and reflecting this inner balance in your health and way of living.

I live in Copenhagen and I am open to travel to teach. I run my services in English and Polish. If you’d like to invite Reiki into your life through my courses, please fill out the form, and I will contact you with upcoming dates and locations.

In 2026, I will also open the Shinpiden (Level 3) course — the stage of teacher training and deep spiritual exploration.

Level 1 Shoden

THIS LEVEL OPENS US TO THE FLOW OF REIKI. IT SUPPORTS PURIFICATION, HEALING, HARMONIZATION, AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT. AT THIS STAGE, YOU EXPLORE THE FOUNDATIONS OF REIKI AND THE ESSENTIALS OF WORKING WITH ENERGY. IT IS ALSO A TIME OF SELF-HEALING AND LEARNING HOW TO SUPPORT OTHERS — AS WELL AS TO WORK WITH INTENTIONS, PLANTS, FOOD, AND ANIMALS ETC.  THE MAIN FOCUS AT THIS STAGE IS SELF-HEALING AND BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR YOUR PRACTICE.

During the two-day course, I will guide you through the fundamentals of this practice, teaching you how to use the body’s natural healing abilities and transmit them through the hands. You will learn the history of Reiki, the principles behind it, and how to give a full-body treatment to yourself and others. You will also receive plenty of hands-on experience, so that after the course you’ll feel confident in your practice. After completing the two-day course, you will also receive access to my “21  Shoden” program — a guided online journey with recorded practices to help you integrate Reiki into your daily life and deepen your connection with the energy.

Level 2 OKUDEN

AT THIS LEVEL, THE PRACTICE BECOMES DEEPER AND MORE INWARD. OKUDEN (“INNER TEACHINGS”) INVITES YOU TO WORK WITH SYMBOLS AND MANTRAS — NOT AS MAGICAL SIGNS, BUT AS SUPPORTIVE TOOLS FOR YOUR INNER GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT. THE SECOND LEVEL HELPS YOU CULTIVATE INNER STABILITY, AND A LIVED SENSE OF UNITY BEYOND TIME AND SPACE.

During the one-day course, I’ll take you through the spiritual teachings and practices suited to this level — methods of working with symbols, visualization, connecting beyond time and space, and techniques to strengthen the mind–body–spirit connection. After completing this course, you will also receive access to my “21 Okuden” program — a guided online journey with recorded practices to help you integrate and deepen your experience.

21 days

EVERY REIKI COURSE MARKS THE BEGINNING OF A 21-DAY PRACTICE PERIOD. EACH PARTICIPANT RECEIVES ACCESS TO AN ONLINE PROGRAM THAT GUIDES YOU DAY BY DAY THROUGH THE TEACHINGS OF YOUR REIKI LEVEL — WITH WRITTEN REFLECTIONS AND MEDITATIONS IN BOTH AUDIO AND SOME IN VIDEO FORM. THE PROGRAM IS FULLY INTERACTIVE AND COMES WITH A COMPREHENSIVE E-BOOK OF OVER 100 PAGES.

Practicing for 21 days offers the best opportunity to fully integrate the new energy, while giving your body the necessary time to move through its natural healing processes on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. These 21 days are meant to help Reiki become a natural part of your daily life.

The 21 days are just the beginning — a symbolic time of transformation and deepening awareness. In the Reiki tradition, this number carries special meaning. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, spent 21 days on Mount Kurama in fasting and meditation, during which he experienced a profound awakening that gave rise to the Reiki method. In this spirit, the 21-day period after each course is a way to honor that journey — a time to turn inward, deepen practice, and allow Reiki to unfold naturally within you.

After this period, I encourage you to continue your regular routine and keep practicing with Reiki every day. This is why I create the 21 Reiki programs — to help practitioners weave Reiki into everyday life, because so much can be learned through the practice itself.

Currently, all of my 21 Reiki programs are available in Polish, and the first English version will be released soon.

Western or Eastern Approach?

The teachings I share come from the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki system — the traditional form of Reiki that originates directly from the teachings of Mikao Usui. It is a system of working with energy whose main purpose is to restore balance and support the body’s natural self-healing processes.

“SHIKI RYOHO” MEANS “THE NATURAL METHOD OF HEALING,” WHICH REMINDS US THAT THIS PRACTICE IS NOT ABOUT SOMETHING EXTERNAL, BUT ABOUT AWAKENING WHAT ALREADY EXISTS WITHIN AND AROUND US. THIS FORM OF REIKI EMPHASIZES SIMPLICITY, A DIRECT CONNECTION WITH SOURCE ENERGY, AND DAILY PRACTICE THAT HELPS DEEPEN SELF-AWARENESS WHILE NURTURING HARMONY BETWEEN BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT. BECAUSE OF THIS, USUI SHIKI RYOHO IS NOT ONLY A HEALING METHOD BUT ALSO A PATH OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND A WAY OF RECONNECTING WITH ONE’S TRUE SELF.

Today, there is no single school or organization that holds exclusive rights to Reiki. Mikao Usui passed away relatively early, and according to tradition, it was never his intention for Reiki to become part of a rigid structure or institution. Over time, Reiki spread across the world in many forms, with each generation of teachers contributing their own understanding and experience.

Reiki is now known globally, yet under the same name you may find very different approaches. Two main paths are most often recognized:

The Eastern (Japanese) path — closer to Usui’s original simplicity and spiritual practice — and the Western path, which evolved mainly through the work of Hawayo Takata and places greater emphasis on symbols and structured methods of teaching.

THE WESTERN APPROACH OFTEN INTEGRATES ELEMENTS SUCH AS THE CHAKRA SYSTEM, KUNDALINI, OR OTHER SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT TRADITIONS. IT TENDS TO BE MORE TECHNICAL AND STRUCTURED, OFFERING PRACTICAL FRAMEWORKS, RITUALS, AND TOOLS THAT ARE OFTEN EASIER FOR THE MODERN MIND TO FOLLOW.

THE EASTERN APPROACH, IN CONTRAST, MAINTAINS SIMPLICITY AND MINIMALISM. IT FOCUSES ON THE DIRECT EXPERIENCE OF ENERGY FLOW, MEDITATION, AND PRESENCE — ON RECONNECTING WITH THE SOURCE THROUGH STILLNESS AND MINDFULNESS. IT DOES NOT RELY ON MANY ADDITIONAL STRUCTURES OR SYMBOLIC SYSTEMS. IT IS A RETURN TO REIKI’S ROOTS AS A WAY OF LIVING, RATHER THAN ONLY A TECHNIQUE FOR ENERGY WORK.

The teachings I share are a blend of both — with an emphasis on deepening the understanding of the Japanese perspective, because the more we explore the teachings of Mikao Usui from their original, traditional roots rather than through a modern lens, the more clearly we can see what he truly wished to share: a profound spiritual practice (more about this approach can be explored through the work of Frans Stiene, known for his in-depth research into Reiki’s origins. His books, workshops, and teachings emphasize that Reiki is not only a method of healing, but above all, a path of spiritual cultivation — a practice guiding us toward the realization of our true nature).

Why do I emphasize this? Because Reiki today is taught in many different ways. For me, the Japanese approach feels closest to my heart — yet I don’t limit myself to it. Each of us is different, equal, and unique. Some aspects of my teaching naturally draw from Western traditions, while others stay true to the Japanese roots. What resonates with me may not resonate with everyone, and that’s perfectly natural. My intention is to share Reiki as I understand and live it — while creating space for you to discover your own way within this practice.

There is no single “ideal” method of practicing Reiki. It is valuable to learn from different sources and teachers, and to feel for yourself what Reiki truly means in your life. Perhaps the Western approach will speak to you more clearly, or perhaps the Japanese tradition will feel closer to your heart. Whichever form you choose, the essence remains the same — the connection with your own energy, your life force, which is unique and one of a kind, just like you.

testimonials

Below you’ll find what some people have shared with me after completing their courses. Remember — don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Your Reiki journey is unique, and there is no single perfect way to walk it. For some, the practice unfolds with ease; for others, it takes time and gentle support.

In spiritual practice, it’s not about achieving or striving for something — it’s about reconnecting with yourself and clearing away what dims your inner light. Each of us is different, equal, and beautifully unique.

FEEDBACK AFTER THE SHODEN COURSE :

“First of all, I’d like to thank you once again for the Reiju and all the knowledge you shared. I didn’t expect how important the online course would become — it’s now a part of my daily life. Besides being visually beautiful and cohesive, I honestly can’t imagine not having it, because it so wonderfully continues to guide me into connection with myself and the feeling of energy. For the first time in my life, I sit down to meditate regularly. I’m truly amazed and deeply grateful that you created this course and that it’s part of the attunement experience with you.

The effect of Reiki in terms of compassion and gentleness toward myself is incredible. I’m beginning to feel that my ‘cup’ of self-love is finally filling up — and that now I can share something good with others.”

FEEDBACK AFTER THE SHODEN COURSE

“Reiki is with me every day; Gokai has become my foundation. I feel so much joy offering sessions to my family and friends. After one session, a friend told me that when I touched the area around her head, she saw a green pillar of light. My sensitivity to energy is growing too — my hands feel very warm 🙂

And it’s this goodness and love that I want to share with others, for their highest good.

I can’t express enough gratitude for finding my way to you for Shoden. Your approach to life completely resonates with mine.”

FEEDBACK AFTER THE OKUDEN COURSE

“Kasia, I already feel the need to share this today, though I’ll write again after the 21 days.

The first thing — I felt the need to start a journal, because what I’m feeling is so powerful that I have to let some of it flow out.

Kasia, I feel as if I’ve just reached the top of a mountain — very tired, but deeply happy and free. Above all, I feel safe. I’ve arrived home after a long journey.

Thank you so much, Kasia, for helping me find my way here.”

FEEDBACK AFTER THE SHODEN COURSE

“I know now that whatever happens, it’s meant to be — for my highest good. That there’s always a way through any situation, and whatever comes, I have the strength to face it.

I also understood that if someone hurts me with actions or words, it’s their issue — I don’t have to take it on. I need to take care of myself and hold myself with kindness.

Reiki helps with this — it strengthens forgiveness and brings understanding that some experiences are simply meant to teach us peace. And for that, I’m most grateful.”

FEEDBACK AFTER THE SHODEN COURSE :

“Thank you once again for the initiation and for the wonderful way you prepared everything! I keep listening to the recordings and meditating with you. I’ve now become an advocate for meditation — it’s incredible how powerful it is.”

FEEDBACK AFTER THE OKUDEN COURSE :

“Hi Kasia, I’m writing to share how I’ve been feeling after the Okuden Reiju.

There was no headache — instead, an immense sense of expansion, deep unconditional love, happiness, and tears of joy. I felt as though I had found my home, as if there was nothing more to seek. A profound sense of fulfillment and knowing that this is what I had been looking for. Gratitude and immense Love filling me completely.

I feel the energy and my connection with Reiki much more strongly now. I sense that this is a complete path of spiritual development — one that only needs to be truly explored to experience peace, without distraction or searching outside of oneself.

On my way back, I felt a deep unity with everything. No need to judge what’s good or bad, better or worse — just pure being.

Now, when I sit to practice, it comes as a completely natural impulse — it’s my way of living, my lifestyle. Meditating with the first symbol truly feels like switching something on; I immediately drop into the state that used to take me 15 minutes to reach before. Now the connection comes instantly — and tears of joy simply flow.”
